TRAINING COURSES
LICENSE TO CARRY(LTC)

TX DPS Approved course
4-6 hours
Course includes class time, written examination, and proficiency demonstration.
Must bring appropriate personal protective equipment, hand gun and 50 rounds of ammunition.
MUST be at least 21 yrs old to apply for an LTC license.
18 yrs if active duty military with current orders.
Must register and pay before class date.
Private classes available with 2 week notice, minimum of 3 people required.
(A fee of $20 per person will be applied if only 1 or 2 students are taking class)
*THIS CLASS IS NOT TO TEACH YOU HOW TO SHOOT. YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW HOW TO USE AND SHOOT A HANDGUN SAFELY.
SAFETY COURSES
The safety courses include:
Firearm Safety, Firearm Safety for Children, Firearm Maintenance, and Safe Gun Storage.
These classes provide a basic understanding of how to handle a firearm safely, store it properly and how to maintain it for longevity.

*THESE CLASSES REQUIRE MINIMAL OR NO HANDLING OF FIREARMS. NO AMMUNITION WILL BE HANDLED.
BASIC FIREARM COURSE
4-6 hours
Course includes class time and proficiency demonstration.
Must be 18 years or older to take class.
Children 6-17 years MUST have written permission from their parents to take class.
Must bring appropriate personal protective equipment, firearm and 50 rounds minimum of ammunition for the firearms used.
Classes must be scheduled 2 weeks in advance.
This course will show you how to handle, load/unload and shoot a firearm safely.

*STUDENTS WHO DO NOT DEMONSTRATE THE SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE NEEDED FOR THE RANGE WILL NOT PARTICIPATE UNTIL FURTHER TRAINING IS PROVIDED.
